When choosing a practice to treat your low testosterone levels there are a couple areas you will want to make sure that the practice is monitoring for you. At Prime Balance, we believe for most men, injectable testosterone mode of delivery is far superior with today’s lifestyle and their personal goals.  We also believe that the injection* should be given every week and in some cases twice a week to properly maintain your levels.  Many doctors treat with injection frequencies of only every two to four weeks.  This is wrong.  This will put you on a roller coaster ride with your levels which definitely has a negative effect on your outcome.  The half-life of Testosterone Cypionate is 5- 8 days, meaning any schedule past a weekly injection will not last long enough in your body to sustain you in a therapeutic range.

When you increase a patient’s testosterone level you must also monitor their estradiol (estrogen) levels.  As men, we need estradiol and it does many good things for us, but you don’t want too much or too little.  At Prime Balance we ensure that you have the appropriate ratio that works for you.

When a patient receives testosterone from an external source, the signal for your own production declines in your body.  At Prime Balance we maintain and preserve the natural testosterone production signal in every one of our patients.  This why we adjunct therapy with hCG which mimics those signals and maintains your function and enhances your experience while on therapy.

Very importantly, if you are one of the millions of men doing testosterone creams, gels, or pellets without concurrent use of hCG, you are not preserving your own natural production of testosterone.  Without hCG, testicles will atrophy and natural sperm and testosterone production will slow or stop.  Far too many physicians today do not understand the simple, yet important, role that hCG plays in testosterone replacement therapy.
